Did you know that July was National Ice Cream Month? I didn’t. I’m not sure how I missed this considering how much I love ice cream! But I figure it’s never to late to show some love for ice cream, especially with the hot summer heat everyone is experiencing. There is no better way to cool off than a cold, creamy treat like ice cream. So here are some ice cream and ice cream inspired sweets. Enjoy!

Over the years, my oven has gotten a work out. During the years that I owned my cake business, there was always something sweet baking. Whether testing new recipes or baking up orders, my oven was always in use. I still love to bake and cook, but these days my oven has been perfecting something else. Something much sweeter than ever before.
I thought it was about time to share our exciting news… my husband and I are expecting our first child! A sweet little girl due in September. Obviously we are way excited and counting down the days until our little one arrives. So in honor of this new little treat I’ve been baking for 8 months now, today we’re featuring an adorable ‘Bun in the Oven’ DIY. Created by Julie at Stamped in His Image, this is such a cute little gift that would be perfect as a baby shower favor or a small gift for the mom-to-be. Inside you’ll find a ‘bun’ made of baby washcloths.
