Real Party: Black, Silver & White Wedding
July 29th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 5 Comments

Today’s real party is an elegant wedding in black, silver and white.  It features a gorgeous dessert table created by Natalie at Chic Sweets.  We first introduced you to Natalie back in February when we featured her sparkly white dessert buffet.  We loved her work then and still love it now!  Check out this stunning wedding display…

This dessert display is both modern and elegant.  I love the milk shots with their initials on the grey and white straws.  Too perfect!  Actually, everything looks almost too perfect to eat…. but I’m sure the guests didn’t hesitate to satisfy their sweet tooth!

A special thanks to Mark Moberg Photography for his stunning images and to Natalie at Chic Sweets for the scrumptious dessert inspiration.  You can find a complete list of the talented vendors behind this event here.  Be sure to check out more gourmet candy and dessert buffets on the Chic Sweets website and blog.

Real Party: Modern Grey Wedding
July 20th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 8 Comments

Today’s real party features another gorgeous cake and treats by the Sweet & Saucy Shop.  This modern grey wedding has a clean style featuring a geometric pattern that is just striking.  I know you’re going to love this dessert bar!  So feast your eyes on this…

Everything fits together so perfectly, from the circle pattern on the cake to the dessert tags.  I love how the modern feel of the cake is softened by the lush anemone sugar flowers.  Mini desserts including Peanut Butter Cake Pops, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Tiramisu Shots and Strawberry Shortcake Shots made for a tantalizing dessert bar.

This whole display is just lovely.  As always, the ladies of Sweet & Saucy have outdone themselves!  Be sure to check out the Sweet & Saucy website and blog for even more scrumptious eye candy.

Real Party: Retro Milkshake Bar
July 19th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 3 Comments

Today’s party is one after my own heart.  My family knows all too well that ice cream is my all time favorite treat.  You’d probably think it would be cake, but no – it’s ice cream.  So when I spotted this Retro Milkshake Party over on Elizabeth Anne Designs, I was instantly in love.  This stunning party layout,  created by Kellie Kano and Elissa Keno, would be perfect for a summer wedding or a child’s birthday party.  Big kids and little kids agree, we all scream for ice cream!

Make Your Own Milkshake Party

From the chalkboard menus to the stand mixers, toppings and vintage straws, this milkshake bar has it all.  I love the white, pink and brown bunting.  It makes me think of Neapolitan ice cream.  Who wouldn’t want to be a guest at this party?  Refreshingly cold, creamy and delicious… I think I want a milkshake now!

Be sure to get the full scoop (no pun intended) on this party over at the Elizabeth Anne Designs blog.  Kudos to Kellie Kano and Elissa Keno on one amazing milkshake party!

Real Party: Vintage Button Wedding
June 16th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 10 Comments

I recently discovered a new cake designer, well new to me anyway!  Heather, of Social Bites of Ruston, has actually been designing cakes since 2007.  She recently had the opportunity to work with Valarie of Southern Fete Event Planning and Courtney Dellafiora Photography to create this amazing vintage wedding shoot.  The stunning cake and scrumptious-looking desserts are perfectly matched by the rustic vintage details and vivid photography.  This wedding layout is definitely swoon-worthy.

I absolutely love everything about this layout.  From the soft vintage feel to charming button accents, this would be one amazing wedding.  The small tulle accents on the cake are an unexpected touch that works perfectly.  Simply gorgeous images of a lovely event.

A very special thank you to Social Bites of Ruston, Southern Fete, and Courtney Dellafiora Photography for the fabulous wedding inspiration.  These ladies make an amazing team, don’t you think?
