Today’s Real Party is a glam event in black and teal with a touch of pink. I was way excited to receive this party from Pauline, the talented woman behind The Party Studio and Sophisticated Yum! We first featured Pauline’s work when we showcased her daughter’s Baking Birthday Party last summer. I just LOVED that party – you must check it out if you missed it before! I have a feeling that you’ll love today’s Black & Teal Bash just as much. Check it out…

I do realize this is a New Years Party and it’s a little late for New Years inspiration! But this color combination and styling could be used for other events. I just love the black and white patterns with the small touches of color. The vase of sparklers adds such a charming little touch. I think this would be perfect for a modern bridal shower or adult birthday. What do you think?
Here is a little of what Pauline had to say about this event:
“I used the Hollywood Glam NYE printables from Anders Ruff and used the colors black, teal and pink. I made the background decorations using the printables and also used these to line the platters. As you can see, I used black frames as platters as well and was very happy with how they looked. I kept everything mini as I wanted people to be able to pop the delicious goodies into their mouths as they sipped on their champagne.”
Special thanks to Pauline for sharing her glamorous Black & Teal Bash with us! Now hop on over to Sophisticated Yum to get the full scoop on this party!
I think today’s Real Party would be absolutely perfect for Fall. Spending a cool, crisp evening outside around a bonfire, roasting marshmallows, drinking red wine and toasting the good things in our lives. You could celebrate an engagement, a new house, a baby on the way or just about any special occasion. Sounds like a wonderful Fall night, right? So let’s take a look at this unique Toast & Roast party, created by Vicky Hudgins of The City Cradle.

This party is all about the little details. The matchbox invitations set the roasting theme from the very beginning. A gourmet s’mores bar included homemade marshmallows, fruit, and spices including sea salt. And how cool are those wine glasses? Vicky etched the word ‘Toast’ onto the wine glasses with cinnamon. Coffee drinkers were offered mugs rimmed with chocolate and graham cracker crumbs. I love how the theme is carried out throughout the party!
This looks like my kind of party. Thank you to Vicky for the charming party inspiration and for reading Half Baked. You can see more of this party here on The City Cradle.
Today we’re featuring a gorgeous Bridal Dessert Table created by Jasmine Clouser from The Couture Cakery. We first introduced you to Jasmine’s work back in June when we featured her Bow Bridal Shower. Well today’s display is just as fabulous. Inspired by the colors of the room, this peacock blue and lime green dessert table is just over the top!

I love this color combination and how the all white cake creates such a striking contrast. The cake itself is just stunning and all of the other little details work perfectly together. The blue and green wedding cake cookies are the creation of
Edible Art and make the perfect wedding favor. Between the gourmet cupcakes, marshmallow pops with gold sprinkles, candy and chocolate pretzels, I’m not sure where you’d start! It all looks so beautiful and delicious!
Special thanks to Jasmine for the amazing Bridal Dessert Table inspiration. Be sure to check out more of her fabulous cakes and dessert bars on The Couture Cakery website and blog.
