Real Party: Elephant Baby Shower
June 10th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 6 Comments

I am in love with the details and the modern color pallet of today’s real party.  This charming event was created by Sarah of Style Me Gorgeous to celebrate her son Max’s baby naming. With soft colors, dots, elephants and birds, this layout is perfect for a baby shower, first birthday or any baby related celebration.

Sarah designed the invitations, cupcake toppers, cookie toppers, labels, tags, signs and banners.  I just love the subtle use of dots and stripes and the addition of the little birdie – how adorable!  The cake design is simple, elegant and works perfectly.   I think this may take the top spot in my list of favorite baby themes.

A very special thank you to Sarah for this amazing party inspiration.  Be sure to get the full scoop on this party on the Style Me Gorgeous Blog and see more of Sarah’s graphic design work in her online boutique.

Real Party: Bunny Baby Shower
May 27th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 4 Comments

Today’s real party is a simple yet sweet baby shower created by Whitney Smith, a talented photographer with a chic sense of style.  Whitney created this shower based on the classic children’s book, Pat the Bunny.  A soft pink color scheme creates the perfect setting for oodles of charming bunny details.  Whether your familiar with this classic book or not, you’re going to love this shower.

This shower is so charming without being overdone.  It has lots of little details while maintaining a clean and crisp feel.  Whitney was able to incorporate each page of the touch-and-feel book into the shower.  I especially love the fuzzy cotton tail on the water bottle labels and the “mommy’s rings” donuts for dessert.

A very special thank to you Whitney for the charming baby shower inspiration.  Be sure to check out more of Whitney’s gorgeous photography on her blog.

Real Party: Super Tweet Birthday
May 18th, 2010 by Carrie Sellman | 10 Comments

I spotted this adorable first birthday party over on Celebrations at Home and could not resist sharing it here as well.  If you’re not familiar with Celebrations at Home, you really should put this blog on your reading list.  You’ll always find great party inspiration!  Just like this first birthday party, created for modern mom, Julie Bowen, star of ABC’s Modern Family.  This modern bird-themed first birthday is super tweet!

I love everything about this party!  From the retro yellow, orange and chocolate color scheme to the gorgeous cake, cupcake tower and cookies!  I am really enamored with all of the modern bird theme parties lately.  This theme would be perfect for a baby shower or nursery as well as a birthday party.

All of these adorable sweets are the creation of Blue Cupcake, an amazing specialty cupcake shop in LA.  Be sure to check out more of their charming creations on the Blue Cupcake Blog.

Today we continue on the safari theme with a stunning Safari Baby Shower.  This amazing shower is the creation of Stephanie at Couture Parties, who as you can see, has a knack for styling modern and chic events.   The grey and pink color scheme sets the stage for lush centerpieces, simple wooden animals and a gorgeous dessert table.

I love the subtle style of this shower.  From the yarn pom pom nakpin rings to the Blumebox centerpieces, each element is perfectly girly and modern.  The dessert bar, including decorated animal cookies, cupcakes and traditional animal crackers, is highlighted with an adorable welcome baby sign.  What a lucky mom-to-be!

A special thank you to Stephanie at Couture Parties for the charming baby shower inspiration.  Be sure to check out more of her fabulous work on the Couture Parties Blog.
