We have a spectacular real party today that comes to us from one talented lady. When Jessica from Pen N’ Paperflowers sent us a link to her Pottery Barn inspired baby shower, it was love at first sight. This modern baby shower filled with birds and branches is surely one to enjoy. So sit back, relax and enjoy!
I love the combination of hot pink and lime green with the black and white polka dots. The bird cupcakes are adorable, not to mention the charming bird cookies. The tree centerpiece, filled with white branches and pink birdies was the perfect centerpiece for such a gorgeous table. Love, love, love everything about this shower!

I must admit, I had a different post scheduled to go up today. But when I checked my email this morning, I was thrilled to find this delightful baby shower, submitted by Claudia at Eye Candy Events. I was smitten with this Bakerella inspired event from the first photo, and I know you will be too! Full of pink and brown goodness, this baby shower offers up oodles of sweet treats.
From the cupcakes to the marshmallow pops and cookie jar favors, this party is the ultimate girly baby shower. I really love the ‘GIRL’ cupcake toppers and whimsical ‘BABY’ banner. Here is a little of what Claudia had to say about this event:
“I decided to make a baby shower for a very good friend who is expecting her 1st baby. It´s a girl so I decided to go with a color palette of white, soft pink and brown. I thought it was a chic and cute combination. I decided to bake some chocolate cupcakes and decorate them with Philadelphia frosting in pink and a small white marshmallow as the topping. Then I made some marshmallow pops. I decide to make them look like mini cupcakes so I choose white medium size marshmallows covered with chocolate and put a small White Candy Mint as topper. As favors, I did use an idea I found on the Bakerella blog, which is the ingredients of a recipe to make cookies in a decorated jar with the instructions to bake them. My friends were fascinated with the idea and with all the party decorations like the banner and the cupcake toppers, which I also made it myself.”

This week has been chalk full of real parties, and today is no exception. Today we’re featuring a real baby shower brought to us by the talented Kim Mower, owner of Head of the Table and fellow blogger. With the most adorable theme and a modern color combination of grey and yellow, what mom-to-be wouldn’t love this Alphabets & Elephants Baby Shower.
There are so many little details to love about this shower! From alphabet poster to the baby blocks, the super cute diaper cake to the elephant table decor, it’s all perfect. Even down to the yellow and white polka dot drink tags topped off with a mini grey elephant. Here’s a little of what Kim had to say about this shower:
“…My friend heather and I hosted a baby shower for our friend Shelly who is preggers with her first child. Shelly isn’t finding out what she is having so it was the perfect opportunity to use one of my favorite new color combinations: yellow & gray! To make the gray more baby-friendly, I squeezed cute elephants in whenever I could. Its always special when you can adapt your theme to the guest of honor. Our mama-to-be is a teacher and loves to read, so i thought it only appropriate that i work in the alphabet whenever possible. I’ve always loved made by girl’s abc poster’s and was able to customize the color to match the party! Heather was in charge of food and made a delicious brunch including fruit kabobs and lemon sorbet with raspberry/vanilla ice cream. I was in charge of drinks and of course used that as a chance to show off some more elephants. It was a wonderful baby shower brunch for all ages.”
