LOVE is Sweet
February 16th, 2011 by Carrie Sellman | 5 Comments

LOVE Week continues with a treat I recently discovered and absolutely love.  Honestly, it’s like crack.  Not that I know what crack is like… but if I had to imagine. Maybe that is why they call it Big Apple CRACKle!  A decadent, crunchy combination of bittersweet chocolate, buttery caramel and toasted almonds atop a matzoh cracker.  This love is definitely sweet…
Big Apple Crackle from Sweet Sally's

I recently had the pleasure of sampling some goodies from Sweet Sally’s Bakeshop.  Sweet Sally’s is a delicious new line of made from scratch baked goods, just like mom and grandma used to bake. Made from all natural ingredients, preservative and trans fat free, one bite of theses yummy baked goods is sure to bring you back to childhood.

Doesn’t that Big Apple Crackle just look delish?!  I’m telling you, it is seriously addictive!  I didn’t want to… but I had to share it because I would have eaten the whole container.  The Raspberry Squares and the Cranberry Pecan Mandel Bread also received rave reviews.  I haven’t tried their Fudge Brownies or Tangy Lemon Bars yet…. but I think I need to!  Packaged in charming little boxes, this is one sweet gift you can’t wait to unwrap!

A very special thank you to Sweet Sally’s for sharing some of their delectable treats with us.  They actually arrived on my birthday making it extra special for me!  Be sure to check out these goodies for yourself on the Sweet Sally’s website.  Enjoy!

And remember, Thursday is the last day to enter our LOVE that Dress Giveaway from Shabby Apple! If you haven’t entered already, what are you waiting for?

February 3rd, 2011 by Carrie Sellman | 7 Comments

Who knew cupcake liners could be so versatile?  I am loving all of the fun DIY projects using cupcake liners!  First we featured a cupcake liner garland which would make a  charming addition to any event.  Then we shared an adorable cupcake liner Christmas tree to spruce up your holidays.  Today we have another unique way to put your extra cupcake liners to good use.  It’s the perfect combination of party trends… pom poms and cupcakes!   Check out these playful Cupcake Liner Pom Poms created by Kara of Kara’s Party Ideas.
Cupcake Liner Pom Poms

These little cuties have so many possible uses!  Add them to any dessert table for some extra texture and height.  Swap them out for an inexpensive alternative to flowers… they’d make a darling centerpiece.  Create a sense of whimsy by adding these pom poms to a nursery or child’s bedroom.  Personally, I think they’d be the perfect decorative touch to a bakery!  Display them on tables or on counter tops!

Hop on over to Kara’s Party Ideas to learn how to create these Cupcake Liner Pom Poms for yourself. Thanks Kara for sharing your creativity with us!

Showcasing the talents of Rebecca of Fresh Chick Designs along with Nancy of A to Zebra Celebrations and Adrian of Canyon Photography,  this Sweet Tweet Valentine’s Collection is just adorable!  I’m such a sucker for modern little birdies and this collection incorporates them in such a fun and playful way.
