Nothing cures the Monday blues like a big dose of pretty! And that’s exactly what we have in store for you today. We’re starting off the week with a romantic dessert table to make you swoon! With buttercream frills, ruffled rosette swirls and ombre, this display will steal your heart. The soft pastel color scheme is a perfect combination of peach and mint with a pop of gold. Featuring three incredible cakes, a whimsical balloon backdrop and festive streamers… feast your eyes on this Fresh & Feminine Cake Table, shared with us by Jenna Rae Cakes.

Are you swooning yet? This charming table included three cakes: a mini buttercream frill cake in shades of mint, an ombre layer cake with buttercream rosette swirls and an incredible fondant covered petal cake as the centerpiece. Meringues, white chocolate covered cake pops, boxed favors, streamers and balloons completed this lovely display. Not to mention the oh-so-cute cake menu!

So many great uses of color gradation in this table… both inside and outside the cake! A peach ombre layer cake is covered in buttercream rosette swirls and the results are beautiful!

Jenna Rae shared a few thoughts with us about her inspiration:
“The inspiration for the table came from a style board my sister, Graphic Designer Ashley Illchuk, and Jessie Thiessen from One Plus One Design came up with. I loved the colour palette. Mint green and peach are my favorite colors to work with right now…. This is a great alternative to a big wedding cake, and gives the guests more variety. It also adds a modern touch to your big day.”

Isn’t it lovely! It would be perfect for a wedding, bridal shower or even a baby shower. AND I think it would be a lovely change to the typical reds and pinks for Valentine’s day. The soft colors and delectable sweets definitely create a sense of romance.
A big thanks to Jenna Rae for sharing this charming Fresh & Feminine Cake Table with us! We love, love, love it! Happy Monday everyone!

With Halloween right around the corner, we’re kicking it into high gear for the next few days with some frightfully fun features! Starting today with a Bewitching Dessert Table, shared with us by Paula of Frog Prince Paperie. This enchanting display features one wickedly modern Halloween cake!! With an orange harlequin pattern and a sleek black and white witch silhouette, this cake is simply charming. The shadows dancing in the background, the witch on her broom flying through the night…. can’t you just hear her cackle floating in the air? Prepare yourself. This Bewitching Halloween Cake by Contemporary Cakery has me absolutely spellbound!

Paula shared with us a few thoughts about this cake:
“For our Bewitching Party, I was really fortunate to gain the services of Andrea from Contemporary Cakery in Jacksonvile, Florida. It is always amazing to hand over a set of graphics for ‘inspiration’ and see what other talented artists create from them. Andrea dreamed up all sorts of witchy desserts for our table!
The two tiered cake was a perfect reflection of the party with the harlequin pattern in shades of orange and the witch in the white frame was nothing short of amazing. The black and white frame really made it pop!”

More from Paula of Frog Prince Paperie:
“On the main dessert table, Andrea treated us to tiny pumpkin chocolate chip cakes shaped liked pumpkins and covered in vanilla cream cheese frosting and fondant. The perfect little faces really brought on the smiles. She did a twist on a traditional red velvet and created black velvet whoopie pied with sugared bats on top. The kid favorites were the spider pops–they were frightening AND friendly enough the little and big trick or treaters loved them!”

I’m captivated by this whole display, but especially the cake! It’s preppy, modern and wicked fun all at the same time! And for some reason, it has me singing… Ooh-hoo, Witchy Woman… she how high she flies! Ooh-hoo, Witchy Woman… she’s got the moon in her eyes!
A special thanks to Paula of Frog Prince Paperie for sharing this Bewitching Halloween Dessert Table with us and to Contemporary Cakery for the amazing Halloween cake inspiration!

If I had to describe today’s feature in one word it would be lovely! Maybe that’s because I love the soft color palette of charcoal, white and rose with a subtle touch of gold. Maybe it’s the darling mix of hearts and stars. But to me, this incredible display portrays the feeling of love. You know that feeling… the warm rush that comes over you, the swell in your stomach, the stars in your eyes. If you had to capture that feeling, I think it would look something like this!

An amazing team of individuals took an
inspiration board, applied their various talents and created this dreamy photo shoot. Obviously I am somewhat smitten with the results! So let’s take a look at this lovely
Graphic & Glitz tablescape….

Am I right? It’s just lovely! And I especially love these chalkboard cookies created by
Shauna Younge… so charming! {Learn how to make these cuties yourself on
Shauna’s Blog.} Shauna also designed custom candy bars, popcorn boxes, cookies, and lollipops for this theme. A-dor-able!

The cake is simple yet modern and creates the perfect focal point on the dessert table. What else would we expect from
Cocoa & Fig?!? You know we ♥ Cocoa & Fig!

Oh my! The
sequined star stir sticks, created by Maddy Hague, are one of my favorite little details! Learn how to make them
HERE on Maddy’s blog, the
Inspired Bride, along with some of the other great DIY’s from this shoot including the
flower arrangements and
tissue paper backdrop. Be sure to hop over for the tutorials and then stay for the eye candy!
