Since we’ve been talking a lot about babies this week, I thought it was only fitting for Fabulous Cake Friday to follow that theme. When it comes to baby shower cakes, there is no one better than Pink Cake Box. Anne Heap and her team create THE cutest baby shower cakes and cupcake towers. It was actually a struggle to single out just one cake to feature, but somehow I did. This sassy baby shower cake is definitely perfect for the modern mom. Take a look!
I just love the unexpectedness of this design along with it’s crisp and clean feel. The bottom tier replicates the iconic Burberry check pattern while the top tier features dog silhouettes. The fashionista mom topper is just perfect with her scarf and over-sized sunglasses, small dog and adorable baby carriage. You can check out a close up of this amazing cake topper

This two tiered version of our Modern Mom design features stripes on the bottom tier accented by polka dots on the top tier. The pregnant lady silhouette was created based on the San Lori shower invitation that is ever so popular! Shades of chocolate brown, sky blue and orange give this cake a funky and modern twist!
This single tier cake was designed for the baby shower of a very loyal customer. So sweet and always complementary, she has sent many customers my way. This is the first cake that I was able to create especially for her!
Highlights include a clothesline adorned with little baby clothes, with stripes and dots. A large baby bib and pacifier top it off, while a playful blue bow wraps up the bottom. Inside was french vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.

I think this has to be one of my very favorite designs! This “Sassy Mom” design was based on a fabulous invitation by French Blue Designs. This two tiered cake features buttercream icing and a bold leopard print pattern, creating the perfect background for the white pregnant mom silhouette. Pink accents add to the sassy style!
