What a perfect name for a perfect little bake shop. Today we’re featuring the work of Eat Cake Be Merry, a hot new specialty cake shop in the New York area. When owner and designer, Liz Shim, sent over images of her work, I was instantly a fan. I love her combination of modern and clean design with a touch of whimsy. These cakes will definitely make you merry! Let’s take a look…
I just love the chocolate brown and green monogram design. This cake is so striking with it’s bold color combination and geometric pattern. A simple yet polished monogram is the perfect finishing touch. Just Lovely! Here’s a few more of my favorites… I’m always a sucker for polka dot cakes!
Liz is obviously a talented lady and has perfected her craft while learning from some of the very best cake designers around (she’s worked with both Confetti Cakes and LovinSullivanCakes in the past). Her attention to detail and playful sense of style will make her a cake designer to watch. I have a feeling we’ll be featuring her work on Half Baked again in the future! You can check out more of her stunning designs on the Eat Cake Be Merry website and blog. Congratulations Liz and best wishes on your new venture.
