Real Party: Mario & Luigi Birthday

This next party comes from Stacey, a very creative mom of two boys. Her three year old knew exactly what he wanted for his birthday this year… “Mario and Luigi holding a star with a blue three on it cause my favorite color is blue.”

As you can see, it looks like that is exactly what he got!
Mario & Luigi Party

The attention to detail is what makes this party so spectacular. Even better is that almost everything was created by the hostess… she even put her husband to work! Now that is what I call dedication! Here are the details:

The favors included:
- Red and green foam visors with hand cut emblems
- White chocolate popcorn balls (with green nonpareils for Luigi, red for Mario) bagged with
corresponding green or red ribbon and handmade stickers
- Mario candy dispensers from amazon.com
- Adorable star cookies with SUPER clever packaging, created by the hostess

Paper plates and mylar balloons from BirthdayExpress. The #3 on the star balloon was printed on her computer, cut out and then run through a sticker machine.

A star hanger adorned the front door. Stacey made the template and her hubby cut it out of wood. She painted it and finished it off with a blue #3.

The cake was also made by the talented hostess. It featured handmade fondant figurines with buttercream icing and fondant decorations. Notice the candles are red on Mario’s side, green on Luigi’s with one yellow candle in the middle. Like I said, amazing attention to detail!

They served pizza, of course, along with a red tray of fruit and green tray of veggies.

All the kids were requested to wear either red or green shirts and overalls if they had them. The host and hostess also dressed accordingly. The adorable mustaches on the kiddos were the product of “make up pencil and PATIENT children”.

The invitations (not shown) were handmade with Mario & Luigi images printed from the internet. A hand cut star flips up to reveal the party information. The clever saying on the front was “Do you want to party with some Super Brothers?”

Stacey did a superb job bringing Turner’s theme to life. Special thanks to her for sharing her party with us!
