I love this cake! I was asked to do a mod mom cake and really have no clue how to do the mod mom for it. I have a few ideas, but was wondering if you could help me out. I love the way you did yours! Your cakes are gorgeous! thanks katie
Thanks Katie – glad you like it! I always made our Modern Mom toppers out of chocolate. Outline your shape on wax paper in milk chocolate and flood with white chocolate. Once it has set up, just peel away the wax paper and you’ve got a crisp and clean topper. If needed, you can always put a print out of your shape under the wax paper, so basically you’re just tracing the shape. I added the purse/shoe polka dots and trim at the very end.
